By the time Knish Ruption Entertainment lined up Laden, X3MYST, Itakay, Danjay, Equaliza, Salaman and Status on Ghetto Dream Riddim in 2019, the pattern was already clear: this is a dark, militant dancehall set with a hard edge rather than a glossy crossover feel. Laden’s “Mi High” and Status’ “Mad Over Me” sit right in the pocket with the rest of the cuts, while Itakay’s “Lowe Badness” and Salaman’s “King’s Pledge” keep the tension up with clipped phrasing and confrontational tone. It’s a compact seven-track job, and the different voices all ride the same narrow lane without drifting far from the rhythm’s mood.
