Sure Death Riddim – Livewyah

2019 was deep into the era when dancehall riddims were leaning hard on stark, minor-key patterns and street-level badman talk, and Sure Death fits that mood cleanly. Livewyah lines up nine cuts, keeping the focus on chants about gunplay, pressure, and survival from Alex Mobsta’s “Nozzle” and Penny Don’s “Gone Fi Di Money” through Ajauni’s title tune and Chriso’s “Murda. ” The arrangement is tight and spare, with the instrumental also included, so the riddim itself gets the last word. A sharp bassline and clipped drum pattern drive the whole thing, leaving plenty of room for the vocals to cut through without crowding the mix. At just over three minutes a tune, it keeps the tempo brisk and the delivery blunt.
