Funeral Bell Riddim – Tru Productions

Grim pulse. Tru Productions keeps Funeral Bell Riddim tight and lean, seven cuts in just under twenty minutes, with the whole thing landing in June 2018 and carrying the kind of funeral-march tension the title promises. Flexxx opens with the title cut, then Iyara’s “Crime World” and Don Pree’s “Nuh Killer” push the same dark, gun-talk direction without overloading the riddim, while Savage, Kibaki, Paco General and Rigz keep the pressure up with songs like “War Coaster, ” “Smaddy Haffi Dead” and “Funeral. ” The production has that clipped, no-frills dancehall snap, leaving plenty of space for the artists to jab at the beat. Rigz’s “Funeral” feels like the final cold note, but it’s Flexxx and Iyara who set the tone most sharply.
