FORMULA RIDDIM produced by WDH RECORDS 2012
Formula Overview
Formula Riddim was built in the studio with a street anthem feeling at its core. The producers wanted to mix the raw power of dancehall with smooth, catchy melodies. The beat maker focused on sharp drum patterns and heavy bass, creating a sound that DJs and fans could feel right away. WDH RECORDS produced this project. The label is known in the dancehall scene for supporting new talent and working with established names. Over the years, WDH RECORDS has released several popular riddims that selectors and partygoers still play today. The artists on Formula Riddim each brought their own style. Scotch Bonnet’s “More Gal” is a standout, full of energy and playful lyrics. Tiana, who is known for her hit “Dem A Bawl,” shows her skills again with “Watch Dem A Watch Me.” Her strong voice and confident delivery make her track memorable. Dejavu’s “Knockings” adds a different flavor, mixing smooth vocals with a tough edge. Willy Chin, who is also part of the popular remix group Black Chiney, delivers “So Amazing,” showing his unique flow and knack for catchy hooks. Macka Diamond, a veteran in the dancehall world and known for songs like “Dye Dye,” brings her experience and bold personality to “Head Hott.” Dancehall selectors still rate Formula Riddim highly, even years after its release in 2012. The mix of hardcore deejay cuts and smooth vocals keeps it fresh in parties and on sound systems across Jamaica and beyond.
