Hot Topic Riddim keeps things tight with just four cuts, and that smaller frame gives Kay Frass Productions room to make each tune count. Released in 2021, the soca set moves with a lean, punchy energy rather than trying to overpack the rhythm, so Dash’s “Shake” and Terra D Governor’s “Mercenary” come off as quick-strike entries that set the pace early. Kay Frass steps into the vocal side too on “Down Dey” with Mushman, which adds a local, hands-on feel to the project, while Mystyk’s “Unpredictable” closes it out with the most memorable turn of the bunch.
