Pyroman Productions’ Fah Yah Riddim, issued in October 2012 under Les Productions Pyroman in Québec, has that DIY dancehall compilation feel where every cut is chasing the same fire without losing its own voice. The title alone tells you the lane: hard-driven, flame-sprayed party pressure, with Guizmossimo’s “Let Di Faya” and Sartek’s “Faya Si Zot” sitting right in the pocket alongside I Seal’s “Pa Pe Preny Dread” and Neto Yuth’s “Come Back. ” What’s interesting is how the French and Creole voices keep the riddim moving across borders without softening it; Deejay Nicky’s “Ils Veulent Tous Faire Taire” hits with extra bite, and Boucan S.
