Downtown Riddim lands as another sharp soca juggling from Ohmic, and this one keeps the energy in that modern carnival pocket he has been working through lately: brisk, cleanly programmed, and made for quick DJ movement rather than heavy arrangement turns. The release is tagged to 2026, and the two voicings on file are Nole with “Jammin” and Johny with “Tell Me, ” which gives the riddim a lean cast but enough contrast to show the range of the pattern.

Ohmic has been active on a run of recent soca projects, including Renaissance Riddim and Reckless Riddim, and Downtown fits that same current of polished road music. The groove feels geared toward the jump-up side of the genre, with a clipped bounce, bright percussion, and a bassline that keeps the floor moving without crowding the vocal.
