Chemistry Riddim – Tads Records

Chemistry Riddim comes off as a compact 2008 Tad’s Records juggling, with just five cuts but a sharp enough lineup to give it some weight. C L Smooth and Junior Reid set the tone on “Foreign Mind Remix, ” while D’Angel brings a cooler edge to “Stronger” and Tarrus Riley teams with Bugle on “Nothing Change, ” one of the cleaner pairings on the set. The rhythm itself leans into that late-2000s roots-reggae polish rather than anything heavy and militant, with a smooth, mid-tempo feel that leaves room for the voices to carry the hook.
