GMS Records’ Brighter Days Riddim from 2019 is a roots-minded juggling built on an easy, steady pulse and a hopeful message. The project was produced by EP for GMS Records, and the lineup keeps things lean with three vocalists across four cuts: Richie Dan on Made a Way and Brighter Days, Papa San on Justice, and Leroy Mafia on Jesus is the Right Direction.
Richie Dan carries the most weight here, returning for the title cut and the opener with a style that sits comfortably in conscious reggae. Papa San brings veteran authority to Justice; long known for moving between dancehall, roots, and gospel, he gives the riddim a sharper edge without breaking its calm. Leroy Mafia’s Jesus is the Right Direction adds another seasoned voice, and his smooth delivery suits the warm, unhurried arrangement.
The production stays clean and unforced, with a classic reggae feel that leaves room for the vocals to breathe. The mood is devotional rather than aggressive, with songs centered on faith, guidance, justice, and perseverance. That focus gives the riddim a unified tone without making it feel repetitive, and the two Richie Dan selections help anchor the project around its central message. For a small 2019 release, Brighter Days Riddim has enough veteran presence and lyrical purpose to land with real staying power.
