Raw Nuts Riddim – Ultra Beam Records

From Jamaica’s 2019 riddim run, Raw Nuts arrived as a compact three-track set from Ultra Beam Records, with Esskell, Onesty and Slashe each taking a turn over the same version. The sequence runs in the usual riddim style, but the short format keeps the focus on the vocal cuts: Esskell’s “Gray Love, ” Onesty’s “This Is My Life, ” and Slashe’s “Support” all sit at roughly three and a half minutes apiece. It’s a lean reggae package rather than a sprawling compilation, and the whole release clocks in at about ten minutes. Released in 2019, Raw Nuts Riddim was issued as a three-song various-artists project on Ultra Beam Records.
