Reggae Star Riddim – Reggae Vibes Music

Reggae Star Riddim comes out of Reggae Vibes Music, the Atlanta-based imprint run by Kenroy Mullings, and it sits comfortably in the producer’s run of conscious reggae projects. The riddim first dropped on February 15, 2019, then resurfaced digitally in 2021 with a 12-song rollout. It runs in a warm, mid-tempo groove that feels rooted in classic roots reggae rather than anything glossy or crossover-minded, with every voice drawn toward uplift, faith, and perseverance.

The heaviest hitters give it its shape. Jah Cure opens with “Jah Watch Over His People, ” a prayerful cut that matches his smooth, melodic delivery. Lutan Fyah’s “Never Give Up” pushes the same message from a more militant angle, while Turbulence turns “They Say” into a defiant meditation on outside criticism. Yami Bolo’s “I Got Love For You” brings a sweeter, steadier tone, and Powerman’s “Can’t Keep We Down” adds grit and lived-in conviction. Those songs do the most to define the riddim’s emotional center.

The rest of the set keeps the energy balanced with conscious turns from Bescenta, Rufftop Rock I, Delando, Chevaughn, Fiyaneer, Ken-Dallazz, and Kenroy “Short Man” Mullings himself. What makes the project work is the consistency: no one tries to overpower the rhythm, and the rhythm gives each singer room to land a message with clarity.
