Major P’s El Tiempo Riddim sits neatly in that late-2019 run of straight reggae one-riddims, pairing a compact nine-artist lineup with a warm, rootsy pulse that leaves room for the vocals to breathe. Delly Ranx sets the tone on “You Afi Fit, ” while Jah Sun’s “Life So Sweet” and Ramon Judah’s “Need More Love” lean into the uplift and consciousness angle, and the Ucee/Fyah Son Bantu pairing on “Make It To The Top” adds a little extra push near the end. The whole set runs just seven songs on the commercial release, clocking in at a little over 23 minutes, with Major P closing it out on the instrumental version of the riddim.
