Brave And Bold Riddim - Dawg House Production

Brave and Bold Riddim comes out of Dawg House Production in 2011, with Marlon Williams behind the label. Williams is better known in the scene as Bling Dawg, and that carries into the project’s sharp, no-nonsense dancehall energy. The riddim sits in that early-2010s lane where the drums hit hard, the bass stays heavy, and the cut is left open for deejays to talk plain and cut through with attitude.

The lineup tells you how much pull the rhythm had. Beenie Man turns in “Cah Frighten We, ” with both clean and explicit versions in circulation, and the title alone captures the chest-out mood that runs through the whole set. Bling Dawg answers with “Nuh Tell Mi, ” also issued in clean and raw takes, while Busy Signal’s “Yu Si Mi” and Capleton’s “Unchangeable” push the riddim in different directions, one more streetwise and conversational, the other rooted in firm, determined singjay fire. Lady Saw’s “Him Call Me” gives the project a tougher, more playful edge, and Sizzla’s “Without Your Love” brings a more melodic, conscious turn.

Liquid and Wayne Marshall’s “Bubbling” adds crossover appeal, while Lukie D’s “Anything For You” softens the set with a more lovers-rock tone. Iyara’s “More Prayer, ” Fetuccini’s “All Angle, ” and Sunshine’s “Walk Out” fill out the juggling, and the instrumental version closes the package cleanly. This is a riddim built for versatility, but the standout cuts are the ones that carry the most personality: Beenie Man, Capleton, Lady Saw, and Busy Signal all give it the kind of voice that keeps a juggling moving.
