Big Dreams Riddim (2019) – Black Street Music

Black Street Music’s Big Dreams Riddim lands in that late-2019 run of sharp, compact dancehall projects: eight tracks, seven voices, and a clean 27-minute runtime. The groove sits in that lean, mid-tempo pocket where the kick and bass keep everything taut while the melodies stay bright enough for the chorus lines to cut through. Aikando’s title cut and Djudge’s “Gangsta Prayer” do a lot of the heavy lifting, while RayDAAR and Rychi’s “Tings Ago Change” and XKhraig’s “Cinderella Story” add a bit of contrast in tone.
