Base Line Riddim – Black Street Music

Wayne Marshall sets the tone on Base Line Riddim with “Celebrate, ” and that’s a smart place for Black Street Music to start: his cut has the biggest profile on a six-track dancehall set that keeps the focus on concise, radio-ready songs rather than long-winded juggling. Versi’s “Underestimate” and Sidra Stargirl’s “Love Me Forever” help give the riddim some range, while Kalia Shae’s “Pussy Feelings” pushes the sharper, more playful side of the project; the whole package runs just six songs and clocks in at about 18 minutes, with no filler in the sequencing. Issued in 2018 by Black Street Music, the release also carried 21st Hapilos Digital credit alongside the label.
