Partner Draw Riddim – Full Chaarge

By 2018, dancehall compilations were still leaning hard on stripped-back, radio-friendly juggling rhythms, and Partner Draw sits right in that lane with a tidy five-track set from Full Chaarge Records. ZJ Dymond’s production name had already been moving through Jamaican radio and the riddim circuit, and this one keeps the focus on clean percussion, a clipped bassline, and enough negative space for the vocals to carry the tune. Shane O’s “Partner Draw” is the obvious anchor, while Devin Di Dakta’s “Carry On” and Lanz’s “Three Days” add different shades of patois-heavy delivery without breaking the flow. Psalms and K. B and Vetta keep it compact, and at just about 16 minutes total, the project moves at an easy 96 BPM, with the bass pattern doing most of the talking.
