Giddimani Records gave the 2013 set a steady, mid-tempo reggae pulse that leaves room for the message to breathe, and the stronger moments come when the singers lean into uplift and resistance, whether it’s Fyakin on “Herbs, ” Lutan Fyah’s “Foundation, ” or Skarra Mucci’s more defiant turn on “What We Gonna Do. ” The sequence also folds in Cynthia, Damas, Robbie Rule and Jami Dread, plus a clean instrumental version of the riddim itself, which helps anchor the project’s shape.
