AXEMAN SPECIAL RIDDIM produced by CAVEMAN PRODUCTIONS 2016
Axeman Special Overview
In 2016, a new reggae project called the Axeman Special Riddim brought fresh life to the roots sound. The journey began with the vision of CAVEMAN PRODUCTIONS, a respected name in reggae. Based in Jamaica, the label is known for keeping the foundation of reggae alive, and has worked with legendary artists for decades. The sound architect behind the riddim built it on strong, earthy percussion and melodic hooks. This gave singers and deejays a solid base to express their own styles. Each track on the riddim carries a unique voice, but together they form a powerful collection rooted in classic reggae energy. Yahbor I brings a lively spirit to "Stitch - Ska ‘N’ Bounce," blending ska influences with a bouncing groove. Infa Feat. Proverbs and Proverbs - Same Little Tre both deliver "Same Little Tre," showing how the same riddim can inspire different interpretations. Sizzla, one of reggae’s most prolific artists, adds his unmistakable voice to "Overwelmed." Sizzla is widely known for his hit album "Da Real Thing" and has released over 50 albums in his career, making him a major force in modern reggae. Charley Charley’s "Compassionate" adds a thoughtful message, while Reuben’s "Fake Friend" and Terry Ganzie’s "Jah Alone Know" each bring their own perspective. Jah Currant closes the set with "Sorry If Me Did Know," keeping the roots message strong. The Axeman Special Riddim stands out as a true roots project, uniting different artists and voices while staying true to reggae’s foundation.
