Sea Breeze Riddim – Ossboss Music

Ossboss Music’s Sea Breeze Riddim came through in 2015 with a neat four-track reggae set that keeps the focus on the singers rather than any studio clutter, and the lineup has a proper roots-and-modern balance: Althea Hewitt’s “Stronger, ” Da’Ville’s “No Fear, ” Ken Boothe’s “It’s a Shame, ” and Lukie D’s “Season Lover. ” The sequence is short and direct, with each cut sitting at roughly four and a half minutes, so it plays like a tight EP rather than a sprawling compilation. Ken Boothe’s presence gives it a bit of extra weight, while Da’Ville and Lukie D keep the riddim moving with smooth, vocal-driven turns. Released by Oss Boss Music in October 2015, it’s a compact set with four artists and no wasted space.
