Tonic Riddim (2015) – Devada Productions

A warm, mid-tempo reggae groove carries this one, with enough weight in the bass to keep it rooted and enough space in the rhythm to let the singers lean into the message. Devada Productions put out Tonic Riddim in 2015 as a six-cut juggling, and the strongest pull is how naturally it moves from the devotional lift of Ras Lukey’s Jah Blessings into Winston Mcanuff’s No More War, with Rev Danny Dread and J Fire Flamez adding their own shades of reflection and romance. Peter Kush Goodwin’s I Conquer sits nicely in the middle, giving the set a firmer, more personal edge before the instrumental closes things out, almost like the riddim itself gets one last turn in the spotlight.
