Orlando Octave

Orlando Octave was born on 6 August 1988 in Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up in Rio Claro and he attended St Theresse R.C School in Rio Claro where he got his first big stage performance at the age of ten when he participated in a competition called “Promenade Summer” which he won. Octave pursued the title of Junior Soca Monarch in 2000 and this gave him exposure as he was chosen by Socarama to be a part of a tour in The USA alongside other artistes who were scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden for the Fulton Boys & Girls College. When he returned to Trinidad and Tobago, Octave participated in the Coca Cola Sponsored Schools Tour across the country. He had a second attempt on the Junior Soca Monarch and he scooped the prize with his composition “Proud Of Rude Boy”. In 2008, he released the hit single “Darkie” and it was his coming out single as it attracted a lot of attention all over. Octave also released “Go Down Low” and “Beautiful”. Octave then subsequently teamed up with fellow artists Kerry John, John Michael Alibocas, Jade Lopez and producer Mr Spine to form The Millionaire Records Family.
