Felecia Gooden was born was born on 25 November 1988. She grew up in Stony Hill, Jamaica and was raised by her father and older sister. She later moved to Portmore, St Catherine where she stayed with her aunt and cousins. Her career in music began as soon as she graduated from high school and she was mentored by the famous deejay and childood friend Vybz Kartel who went on to sign her to his Portmore Empire Label. Gooden featured on Vybz Kartel’s “Whine For Me” and “Champion Bubbler” and from these, she gained recognition. Gooden has done collaborations with “Beenie Man”, “Lady Saw”, “Gyptian” and many others. She received the 2010 EME Excellence in Music for best new female artist. In 2019, Gooden signed a new recording deal with Hustle Firm Entertainment and Vybz Kartel’s new label Vybz Kartel Muzik.
