Intence was born Tashawn  Gabbidon and he is a dancehall artist based in Tavern, St. Andrew, Jamaica. He attended Mona High school. Gabbidon’s father  was a dancehall DJ which is were his love for music came from.  After he graduated from high school, Gabbidon  spent most of his time in the studio recording songs. As he was building his career, he was associated with artists Aidonia and Iwaata and he gradually gained popularity in his Taavern Community. The ‘Peace Garden Anthem’ was a hit and when Boyzie heard it, he signed Intence. Boyzie then changed his name from Quenger to Intence. Under Boyzie Records, Gabbidon has recorded songs such as “Jett Life” and “Bad Gal”. His most popular hit is on the Sedway Riddim titled “Say Dem Real”.
