1Matik Riddim arrived in 2021 from Raheef Music Group and Chemist Records, a pair of names that have been tied to a hard-edged strain of modern dancehall built for street pressure and sound system replay. The set landed on October 4, 2021 and runs ten cuts long, keeping the energy high and the pacing brisk across just over half an hour.

Govana opens the project with “1Matik, ” and that track sets the tone with militant confidence and sharp one-line flexes. Intence follows with “Poison, ” bringing the kind of raw, aggressive delivery that has made him one of the most watched voices out of Kingston’s newer wave.
