Badda General

Badda General, born Omari Lawrence in Montego Bay, Jamaica, began his musical journey at seven as a selector/DJ. By 14, he was a prominent DJ in western Jamaica with the “Pieces Sound System” until 2001. Starting his own “Madd Squad Sound,” he reached the top, even competing in the esteemed “World Clash Competition.” Known as “Froggy Maddsquad,” he’s defeated top sound systems like Bass Odyssey and Tony Matterhorn. In 2010, he entered record production, collaborating with Buju Banton, Wayne Wonder, and others.

With a career marked by consistent growth and an expanding fan base, Badda General continues to make waves in the music scene, collaborating with other notable artists and producers. His dedication to his craft and his ability to adapt and innovate within the genre make him a standout figure in contemporary dancehall and reggae music.
