Anju Blaxx’s UIM Records was already deep into its 2016 riddim run when Apocalypse dropped, and this one keeps that sharp dancehall focus intact. Jahmiel leads the way with “The Bigger One, ” while Blak Diamon and Tactical’s “Ting Them Tun On” and Erup’s “After Party” give the set its biggest jolt. UIM has long been one of those Kingston labels that likes a clean, functional riddim package, and here the emphasis is on performance and placement rather than excess. Kim Kelly’s “Ting Pon Fleek” and Savage’s “You Me A Talk” close it out in a neat five-track sequence, so the project feels like a compact showcase built for quick movement between artists rather than a sprawling compilation.
