Celsius Riddim – Kalex Productions

The Celsius Riddim comes with that bright, springy dancehall bounce that leaves room for hooks to cut clean through the mix, but there’s still enough weight in the drums to keep it moving like a proper juggling piece. Kalex Productions kept the cast tight in 2016, lining up Sizzla, Artikal, Flamz, Quada, Simple Jay, and Wassabbi across seven tracks, with the instrumental closing the set so the riddim can speak for itself. It leans firmly dancehall rather than wandering into anything softer, and the sequencing lets the voices snap in one after another without crowding the rhythm. Quada’s “Music Dweet” is the sharpest pull here, but Sizzla’s “Kweng Dem” gives the project its hardest edge and the kind of authority that lingers after the last drop.
