Analog Riddim – Dialectic Production

There’s a crisp, no-frills feel to Analog Riddim, and that suits Dialectic Production’s 2015 approach: three songs, three voices, and no wasted space. Fyakin opens with “Dangerous, ” Ratigan follows with the tougher “Buss Shot, ” and Amoui closes things out on “Mr. Bassie, ” giving the set a neat little arc without overloading the riddim. The release first surfaced in April 2015 and runs just 11 minutes, which tells you it was conceived more like a focused singles package than a sprawling showcase. Ratigan’s cut feels like the sharpest pull here, while Fyakin and Amoui keep the energy moving in different shades of rootsy dancehall.
