Barefruits Prod and Mango Tree Ent put a compact, herb-conscious set on Herbs Riddim in 2015, and the small lineup gives it a nice live-session feel rather than a crowded compilation. Richie Spice’s “I Use The Herbs” is the obvious anchor, sitting right in his sweet spot with that easygoing roots phrasing, while Lymie Murray’s “Let It Go” and Prophecy’s “Nothing Never Change” keep the mood grounded in everyday uplift. Nateesha Stream’s “Loving You” softens the edge a little and gives the riddim a cleaner, more melodic finish. It’s only four cuts, but that brevity suits the subject, leaving the groove to do the talking, herb talk and all.
