Aftermath Riddim – Fire Royal Records

From the 2017 dancehall run out of Fire Royal Records, Aftermath Riddim keeps its focus tight: nine cuts, eight voices, and a quick 26-minute sprint that moves with the clipped, no-frills energy of a proper juggling. Clymaxx’s “Tru Mi Clean” opens with a clean-cut brag, while Hiya Flamez leans into the tougher edge of “Burn” and Nymron’s “Uplifement” adds a lift through Keshan’s feature. Fire Royal lets the rhythm do most of the talking here, with each tune landing just under the three-minute mark, and that brevity gives the set a sharp, street-level pulse. By the time Veli closes with “Gimmi Every Gyal, ” the whole thing feels like a compact snapshot of that mid-2010s dancehall moment, right down to the doubled “Mighty” and “Uplifement” versions tucked in at the end.
