Black Suit Riddim – Jahspeed Production

Black Suit Riddim comes out of Jahspeed Production’s 2017 dancehall run with a dark, steady 86 BPM pulse that gives the whole thing a clipped, late-night edge. Diamond Eye gets the strongest spotlight here, turning up twice with “Nuff Youth Pass N Gone” and “Life, ” while Nykka’s “Spirit Neva Lie” and Amaziyah The Great’s “Do And Say” keep the side moving in different directions without breaking the mood. The set also leaves room for Don Frisco, Jay Krome, Mark Ras, and Marley Don, with Flawless jumping on “See We Rise” for one of the cleaner crossover moments. Jahspeed keeps the instrumental right at the end, almost like a final nod before the curtain drops.
