Above Clouds Riddim – Ghaddafeh

Ghaddafeh’s Above Clouds Riddim sits right at the start of his production run, and that debut-project feel comes through in the lean five-track setup. The riddim keeps a taut, dancehall-forward pulse rather than trying to do too much, which leaves room for the voices to carry the weight. Sikka Rymes’ “Grasshopper” is the one that jumps out most, with that sharp, restless energy he does so well, while Frass Groovas on “Rock So” and Deligence on “Make Money” lean into tougher, street-minded chants. There’s also a nice contrast in Amity Sereavo’s “Di Paypa, ” which adds a slightly smoother edge to the same frame. Released in 2019, it plays like one of those compact yard sessions where every cut is there to keep the momentum moving.
