Narcos Riddim – Redboom / Frenz For Real

Narcos Riddim comes out of Redboom Supamix and the Frenz For Real camp, a Kingston-linked production team that has long been part of the dancehall engine room. The 2019 set landed through Redboom Supamix Productions with distribution via 21st Hapilos, and the title nods straight at the street-coded drug talk that runs through the whole package.

The riddim itself has a dark, marching pulse and a clipped digital bounce, the kind of bed that leaves room for DJ chatter, gun-talk imagery, and money-minded flexing. It plays like a selector’s tool: lean, high-pressure, and built for quick rewinds rather than glossy radio polish.

Delly Ranx opens with “Neva Do That, ” bringing veteran command and a sharper, more seasoned warning tone. Intence’s “Dope” is one of the harder-edged entries, matching the beat’s cold stare with his newer-school intensity. Shawn Storm’s “Drugs Money” and Vershon’s “One Press” keep the theme in that same hard-living lane, while Sikka Rymes works the riddim with “Solve The Puzzle, ” a cut that fits his clipped, militant delivery. I-Waata’s “Adjust” adds another younger voice to the juggling, and King Dolla, Roxxie, and Zenny help fill out a nine-track run that stays tightly on message.

What makes Narcos Riddim work is its consistency: every voice is pointing at the same corners of dancehall, but each artist finds a slightly different angle, from veteran menace to rising-artist urgency.
