Thankful Riddim – Rb Records

Thankful Riddim comes in with a lean, no-frills dancehall pulse and a lineup that keeps the focus on singjay message rather than big stylistic detours. RB Records lines up five cuts here, including Shenko Nashinal’s “Mind Game, ” Damian Highlyphe’s title tune, Jerone’s “Give Thanks, ” Prayz’s “Keep On, ” and Rolando Blake’s “Victory, ” so the whole thing reads like a compact round of uplift and forward motion. It’s a 2019 set, released as a short EP and tucked into RB’s run of instrumental projects from that same period, which gives it a familiar, homegrown feel without making it sound overworked.
