Zigedub opens You Should Have Known Riddim by dipping back into a Studio One-rooted relick, and the old-school pull is part of the charm here: the bass stays warm, the drum pattern keeps a relaxed rub-a-dub swing, and the voices ride it with enough grit to keep things lively. Peter Spence’s “The Walk” and Guiding Starr’s “Celebrate Life” sit especially comfortably in that pocket, while Shamir’s “All in My Head” with Rafeelya adds a little extra colour without breaking the mood. It’s a seven-cut set that moves between UK, Jamaica and beyond, with Richie “Nicotine” Davis on instrumentation and ZigeDub handling the final polish, right down to the mastering.
