WORLD STAR RIDDIM produced by TP RECORDS 2015
World Star Overview
In 2015, the World Star Riddim brought a fresh energy to the soca parade. Its lively beats and catchy melodies fit perfectly with the Carnival season, letting crowds dance and celebrate together. The riddim’s flow matched the spirit of the year, giving both new and established artists a strong platform to shine. At the heart of this project was TP RECORDS, a label known for its focus on Caribbean rhythms and energetic productions. TP RECORDS had already made a name for itself with other popular soca and dancehall releases, helping artists reach wide audiences through both radio and streaming platforms. Their experience and attention to percussion drove the World Star Riddim’s success, making it a standout in 2015’s Carnival soundtrack. Abby brought her single "Basketball" to the riddim, adding a playful touch that got fans moving. Bling Dawg followed with "No Handouts," delivering his signature style. Beenie Man, often called the "King of Dancehall" and a Grammy Award winner for Best Reggae Album in 2001, contributed "My Yout," showing his versatility in soca as well as dancehall. Beenie Man also teamed up with Voicemail on "Twinkle Star," blending their talents for a memorable collaboration. Voicemail, known for their energetic stage presence and hits like "Wacky Dip," also appeared solo with "Twinkle Star," keeping the party going. The World Star Riddim remains a key part of soca’s Carnival legacy from 2015.
