Wild Monkey Riddim keeps things tight: just three cuts in all, with Don G’s “The Pole” and Master J’s “Gorilla Style” riding a lean soca groove that feels more cheeky than flashy. Madd Kastle Records keeps the arrangement clipped and percussive, letting the rhythm do the talking instead of crowding it with extra layers. The animal-themed titles fit the tone too, giving the whole thing a playful, club-ready bounce without drifting into anything overly polished. It’s a short 2017 set, clocking in at about nine minutes, and the instrumental sits right in the middle as the spine of the project before Master J closes it out with “Gorilla Style. ”
