Whirlwhine Riddim – Lowlow Records

Lowlow Records’ 2019 Whirlwhine Riddim leans into glossy, waistline-first dancehall, with a compact set of cuts that keeps the motion tight and the energy all the way up. Cali P opens things with “Girlfriend, ” while SupaChappy’s “Ginnal Whine” and Prynce Mini’s “Queeze It” keep the riddim in a sly, party-ready groove, all sharp edges and forward bounce. LUQ and Teka’s “Queenston Belle” adds a little extra character in the middle of the sequence, but it’s Don Sinini’s “Come On” that lands with the most bite, sounding like the cut that really locks the pattern in place. The instrumental is there too, so you can hear how much room the production gives these voices to ride the pulse.
