WET WAXX came out of Digital Vibes in 2016 with a compact six-cut set that sits squarely in rootsy reggae rather than leaning into any dancehall edge, and that restraint gives the riddim room to breathe. Berri’s “Run Away” and Da Plan’s “Close to Me” keep the mood melodic and reflective, while Ron C’s “We Will Win” pushes a more uplifted, chant-like note through the arrangement. Nesbeth is the name that gives the project its sharpest pull, though, with “Doing Me” landing as the most immediate cut here; his voice rides the groove with the kind of confidence that turns a straightforward riddim into something you remember after the last note fades.
