WET UP RIDDIM produced by SEANIZZLE RECORDS 2012
Seanizzle’s Wet Up Riddim landed in 2012 with the kind of dancehall weight that comes from a producer who already knew how to make a juggling travel. Sean Reid, better known as Seanizzle, had by then built a strong reputation in Jamaican dancehall for sharp, radio-ready riddims and club-minded patterns, and this one sits neatly alongside the era’s most effective party releases.
Wet Up is a fast, bass-heavy dancehall cut driven by a bouncy, forward-marching pulse that leaves plenty of room for chants, sexual swagger, and dance instructions. It has that early-2010s sound: lean drums, a bright synth edge, and a groove that stays restless without getting messy. The title says enough — this is a wet, waistline-focused project, and the vocalists treat it like a night-out soundtrack.
The lineup is stacked. Beenie Man’s “Carry No Scent” brings veteran clarity, while Khago’s “All Over Me” and Ishawna’s “Hold Him” push the riddim into the flirtation-and-flex zone. Konshens and Tifa’s “Destiny” adds one of the most memorable pairings on the set, and it gives the juggling a strong singjay-meets-female-counterpoint energy. Elephant Man, Demarco, Aidonia, Spice, I-Octane, Kiprich, Future Fambo, Bencil, Liquid and G Whizz all add their own spin, but the cuts that really define the release are the ones that lock onto the riddim’s dancehall bounce without overcomplicating it.
Seanizzle also keeps his own imprint present with “Run Gal Run” and the instrumental, which helps frame Wet Up as more than a loose bundle of singles. It plays like a proper juggling built for selectors, dancers, and replay value.
