WATERHOUSE RIDDIM / JOOK A GIRL RIDDIM produced by JAM 2 RECORDS 2007
Waterhouse Overview
Reggae fan, you know the island beat is always moving. In 2007, the soca sound was everywhere, flowing through the streets and on big stages for Carnival. That year, a powerful soca riddim brought together some of the most respected names in dancehall and reggae. Angel Doolas gave us "Look A Girl," a track full of energy. Delly Ranx, known for his production skills and his hit "Pon Di Corner" with Wayne Marshall, came strong with "Girl U Are." Demarco, who later scored major success with "Fallen Soldiers," added his voice to the mix with "Listen To Your Girl." Elephant Man, famous for his dance anthems like "Pon De River Pon De Bank," brought the party with "Jook A Girl." Gyptian, who would go on to win international fans with "Hold Yuh," delivered "African Prize." Wayne Marshall, well known for his collaborations and hits like "Messing With My Heart," added "Long Story" to the set. All these tracks were produced by JAM 2 RECORDS, a label with roots in Jamaica and a reputation for quality dancehall and soca productions. JAM 2 RECORDS has worked with many big artists and is known for its polished sound. This 2007 soca drop became a favorite at Carnival, filling playlists and keeping the island beat alive.
