Water Bed Riddim – Firehouse Crew

By 2005, Firehouse Crew were already deep into the rhythm-game mode, and Water Bed Riddim fits neatly into that run with a taut, mid-tempo swing and a clean, rootsy edge. Anthony B’s “No Man” leans into the social-commentary lane with real bite, while Junior Kelly’s “Murder” keeps the pressure on with that stern, conscious fire he was carrying so well around that period. Ghost’s “Unite The Flames” and Turbulence’s “Deep Inna Mi Faith” round it out with the kind of spiritual energy that gave a lot of these early-2000s one-riddim sets their lasting pull.
