Usain Bolt Presents: Olympe Ros Riddim - Rajah Karanja Nelson

Usain Bolt Presents: Olympe Rosé Riddim arrived in July 2019 as a Rajah Karanja Nelson production, issued as a digital dancehall release and tied to a 100 BPM instrumental that sits in that mid-tempo, club-ready pocket. The project folds Usain Bolt’s celebrity-hosted intro around a small but sharp set of cuts from some of Jamaica’s most familiar voices, with Ding Dong, Bibi Gardner, Christopher Martin, Munga Honourable and Dexta Daps all getting a turn on the rhythm.

Ding Dong opens the lane with “Top A Di Top, ” a hype-heavy party chant that matches his long-running reputation for dancefloor slang and movement songs. Bibi Gardner’s “Mount A Gyal” brings a more feminine counterpoint, while Christopher Martin’s “Dweet” smooths the rhythm out with his cleaner, more melodic approach. Munga Honourable’s “Weekend” keeps the energy in street-dance mode, and Dexta Daps closes the set with “Big Moves, ” adding the kind of moody, unmistakably swaggering delivery that has made him one of the more distinctive contemporary dancehall singers.

Rajah Karanja Nelson keeps the production lean and uncluttered, leaving enough space for each voice to cut through. The medley version ties the selections together, and the instrumental makes the rhythm itself feel like the point, with a clean foundation designed for juggling rather than overproduction. As a Bolt-backed riddim, it also sits in the crossover space where sports-star branding and straight dancehall promotion meet without getting in the way of the music.
