Eight tunes deep, Trouble Riddim leans into a hard-edged 2021 dancehall set with no wasted space: Big Pop’s “Bad Move, ” Black Dice’s “Badness, ” Greatone’s “Unown Tida, ” and the rest all circle the same tense, streetwise mood. Live Life Entertainment keeps the production clipped and driving, with a sharp pulse that leaves room for the deejays to jab and threaten without overcrowding the cut. The whole thing feels built for the clash side of dancehall, especially once Landlawd and Nzye lock into the pressure cooker energy of “Squeeze Out” and “Traitor. ” PrymeBoss and Real Sheriff keep that momentum rolling, but it’s Skanja’s “Ting Mad” that lands like the final warning shot, closing out the riddim with the kind of raw, aggressive bounce that gives the project its bite.
