In 2000, dancehall music was changing, and street anthems were everywhere. The Trilogy riddim became popular during this time, bringing a fresh sound to parties and sound systems. The producer, MENTALLY DISTURBED, helped shape the riddim’s style. Known for pushing the boundaries in dancehall, MENTALLY DISTURBED worked with various artists and was behind several influential tracks in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Bounty Killer Wayne Marshall joined forces on the track "Smoke Clears." Bounty Killer is famous for hits like "Look" and has won the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. Wayne Marshall is known for his smooth delivery and later worked with Damian Marley on "Go Hard." Together, their voices on "Smoke Clears" gave the riddim a strong street vibe. Spragga Benz Red Square performed "Gi Wi Dem." Spragga Benz is respected for his quick lyrics and was featured on the Billboard-charting song "Turn Me On" with Kevin Lyttle.
