Yeng Yeng Riddim – Dunwell Productions

138 BPM · 7A Dancehall 7 cuts

Yeng Yeng Riddim came out in 2016 from Dunwell Productions, the Kingston imprint built by Mario “Dunw3ll” Dunwell, a producer who has become known for sleek, club-ready dancehall and a juggling style that travels well from radio to the dance. The riddim sat in the middle of that run and arrived as a short, focused release on Dunwell Productions and 21st Hapilos Digital.

The project is driven by a crisp, springy dancehall bounce with enough room for the vocals to carry the hook. It has the kind of bright, synthetic pulse that works for party rotation, and the beat never gets overloaded. Kartel’s “Win” is the heavyweight cut, released in both explicit and clean versions, and that dual presentation helped the riddim move across street and radio spaces at once.

Ding Dong, the Jamaica-born dancer and deejay whose music is closely tied to dance moves and party culture, turns in the title track “Yeng Yeng” with Bravo Ravers, and that cut is the one that gave the riddim its identity. Samboni’s “New Game” fills out the vocal side with a lighter presence, while the bonus “Win” dedication to Usain Bolt and Team Jamaica captures the moment in full 2016 sports-celebration mode. The whole set feels designed for motion, with the energy and hooks landing fast rather than lingering.
