The Net Riddim – The Net

The Net Riddim keeps it lean with just six cuts, and that gives the set a nice little tug-of-war between the big names and the deeper voices. Capleton’s “All Been Said And Done” comes in with the kind of militant energy you’d expect from him in that 2000/2001 stretch, while Pinchers and L. David’s “Got To Be Wise” adds a sharper, more conversational edge to the same footing. Chrisinty’s “Any Day Now” and Kulcha Knox’s “Once and For All” help round out the tune-up without drifting away from the riddim’s focused dancehall pulse, and the version at the end lets the bare framework breathe a bit. It’s one of those early-2000s sounds that feels very much of its moment: compact, vocal-heavy, and aimed straight at the sound system.
