Riddims. Co usually leans into straight-ahead dancehall sets, and The Ladies Touch Riddim keeps that focus but trims it down to a tight three-track run with a softer, more romantic edge. The rhythm feels warm and breezy rather than bruising, with enough bounce to keep Makamillion’s “Baby Lets Slide” moving and enough space for Maxi Priest to sit right in the pocket on “Miss You, ” which is the most immediate cut here. Olando Octave and Kerry John close it out with “Love Song, ” and that last pairing pushes the project further into lovers-rock territory without losing the dancehall swing. It’s a compact 2015 release, but the short lineup gives the riddim a clean, intimate feel that hangs together nicely.
