The Art Of Life Project Riddim – Omal Records

2015 was a year when roots reggae was still leaning hard on conscious lyrics and lean, dubwise arrangements, and The Art Of Life Project Riddim sits right in that space with four cuts and a tight, no-frills roster. Luciano’s “Where Are We Going” gives the set its clearest anchor, while Krysi Webb’s “Boken Letters” and Torch’s “Lef Out Dem” keep the message side front and center over a steady OMAL Records production that leaves plenty of room for the vocals to carry the weight. Gonga’s “Wake U” adds another voice to the circle, and the whole project stays concise at four tracks, all credited to OMAL Records in 2015.
