Seven cuts and a guest-heavy closing slot make Sweet Music Riddim Vol. 3 feel like the capstone to 7 Seals’ little trilogy, with Turbulence, Jabesh, Kapa Shanti, Princess Nayah and Rob Symeonn anchoring the set. The rhythm itself sits in that warm roots lane: mid-tempo, bass-forward, with enough forward motion to keep the singers riding cleanly without crowding the arrangement. Turbulence’s “If You Only Knew” sounds like the early attention grabber, but the real shape of the project comes from the way the voices trade moral uplift, social pressure and women’s-empowerment themes against the same steady groove. 7 Seals had already used the Sweet Music name on the first two volumes, and this 2014 third chapter closes with “Queen By His Side, ” the Tiwony and Zebulun De Counselor pairing that leaves the riddim on a firmer, more collaborative note.
